Device setup — OPDS catalog

Add the portal as an OPDS server so your device can browse and download books.

1. On the device, open Settings → OPDS servers → Add.
2. Enter the catalog URL:
   loading… Copy
3. Enter the credentials configured in your portal environment: the DEVICE_BASIC_USER value as username and DEVICE_BASIC_PASS value as password.

Device setup — KOReader sync

Sync reading progress between the device and this portal.

1. On the device, open KOReader sync settings and set a custom server.
2. Enter the server URL:
   loading… Copy
   The URL must include https:// and have no trailing slash — otherwise the device silently falls back to plain HTTP.
3. Use the KOSYNC_USER / password configured via KOSYNC_PASSWORD_MD5 in your portal environment.

Portal key

The portal key unlocks this web UI on this browser. It is stored only in this browser's local storage and sent as the x-portal-key header on every request.
